  1. Depress the window lock switch in the left front power window/door lock switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Attempt to move all of the windows with all of the window switches.

Are all of the windows operational?

  1. Depress the switch in the left front power window/door lock switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Attempt to move all of the windows with all of the window switches.

Does the left front window operate while all of the other windows do not?

  1. Depress the window lock switch in the left front power window/door lock switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Attempt to move all of the windows with all of the window switches.

Are all of the windows inoperative?

Test for a short to ground using a J 39200 in the BRN or the BRN/BLK wire between the left front power window/door lock switch and SP371 or in the BRN/BLK wires between SP371 and the left and right rear remote power window switches.

Does a short to ground exist?

Go to Step 6

Repair the short to ground that exists either in the BRN or the BRN/BLK wire between the left front power window/door lock switch and SP371 or in the BRN/BLK wires between SP371 and the left and right rear remote power window switches. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left front power window/door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock and Side Window Switch Replacement .
