Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement 2 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Unclip the jack handle located under the left front seat.
  2. Remove the jack handle.
  3. Unclip the wheel nut wrench located under the right front seat.
  4. Remove the wheel nut wrench.
  5. Unclip the jack located under the right front seat.
  6. Remove the jack.
  7. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  8. Remove the rear seat. Refer to the following seat replacement procedures:
  9. •  Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
    •  Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement in Seats.

  10. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 plastic retainers that secure the front floor console.
  11. Remove the front floor console from the vehicle.
  12. Remove the 4 screws that secure the rear floor console.
  13. Remove the rear floor console.
  14. Lift the plastic covers in order to access each front seat belt buckle anchor bolt on the 2-door models.
  15. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  16. • The anchor bolts
    • The front seat belt buckles
  17. Remove the lower anchor bolt from each front seat belt.
  18. Pry out the front door inner weatherstrips.
  19. Remove the 2 fasteners at each hinge pillar trim panel.
  20. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels from the vehicle.
  21. Remove the screw from each of the rear right and left trim panels.
  22. Remove the trim panels from the vehicle.

  23. Remove the front sill plates from the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  24. Remove the 2 screws from the front console bracket.
  25. Remove the front console bracket from the vehicle.
  26. Remove the 4 plastic retainers attaching the carpet (5) to the bulkhead.
  27. Remove the 3 plastic clips from the rear of the carpet (5).
  28. Remove the carpet (5) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the carpet (5) into the vehicle.
  2. Install the 3 plastic retainers to the rear of the carpet (5).
  3. Install the 4 plastic retainers which secure the carpet (5) to the bulkhead.
  4. Install the front console bracket. Secure the bracket with the 2 screws.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the front seat belt buckles to the vehicle. Secure each seat belt buckle with 1 anchor bolt (2-Door models).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt buckle anchor bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  8. Install the rear right and left trim panels. Secure each trim panel with 1 screw.
  9. Install the front sill plates to the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  10. Install the hinge pillar trim panels. Secure each hinge pillar trim panel with 2 screws.
  11. Install the front door inner weatherstrips to the door pinch weld flange.
  12. Install the rear floor console to the vehicle. Secure the rear floor console with the 4 screws.

  14. Install the front floor console (1) to the vehicle. Secure the console with the 2 screws and the 2 plastic retainers.
  15. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  16. Install the rear seat. Refer to the following for seat replacement procedures:
  17. •  Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
    •  Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement in Seats.
  18. Install the jack to the vehicle.
  19. Clip the jack into place under the right front seat.
  20. Install the wheel nut wrench to the vehicle.
  21. Clip the wheel nut wrench under the right front seat.
  22. Install the jack handle to the vehicle.
  23. Clip the jack handle under the left front seat.

Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement 4 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Unclip the jack handle located under the left front seat.
  2. Remove the jack handle.
  3. Unclip the wheel nut wrench located under the right front seat.
  4. Remove the wheel nut wrench.
  5. Unclip the jack located under the right front seat.
  6. Remove the jack.
  7. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  8. Remove the rear seat. Refer to the following seat replacement procedures:
  9. •  Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
    •  Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement in Seats.

  10. Remove the 2 screws and the 2 plastic retainers that secure the front floor console.
  11. Remove the front floor console from the vehicle.
  12. Remove the 4 screws that secure the rear floor console.
  13. Remove the rear floor console.
  14. Remove the lower anchor bolt from each front seat belt.
  15. Pry out the front door inner weatherstrips.
  16. Remove the 2 fasteners at each hinge pillar trim panel.
  17. Remove the hinge pillar trim panels from the vehicle.

  19. Remove the rear sill plates from the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  20. Remove the front sill plates from the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  21. Remove the lower center pillar trim panel from the center pillar.
  22. Remove the 2 screws from the front console bracket.
  23. Remove the front console bracket from the vehicle.
  24. Remove the 4 plastic retainers attaching the carpet (5) to the bulkhead.
  25. Remove the 3 plastic clips from the rear of the carpet (5).
  26. Remove the carpet (5) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the carpet (5) into the vehicle.
  2. Install the 3 plastic retainers to the rear of the carpet (5).
  3. Install the 4 plastic retainers which secure the carpet (5) to the bulkhead.
  4. Install the front console bracket. Secure the bracket with the 2 screws.
  5. Install the rear sill plates to the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  6. Install the front sill plates to the vehicle. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  7. Install the lower center pillar trim panels to the center pillars.
  8. Install the hinge pillar trim panels. Secure each hinge pillar trim panel with 2 screws.
  9. Install the front and rear door inner weatherstrips to the door pinch weld flange.
  10. Install the rear floor console to the vehicle. Secure the rear floor console with the 4 screws.

  12. Install the front floor console (1) to the vehicle. Secure the console with the 2 screws and the 2 plastic retainers.
  13. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  14. Install the rear seat. Refer to the following for seat replacement procedures:
  15. •  Rear Bench Seat Replacement in Seats.
    •  Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement in Seats.
  16. Install the jack to the vehicle.
  17. Clip the jack into place under the right front seat.
  18. Install the wheel nut wrench to the vehicle.
  19. Clip the wheel nut wrench under the right front seat.
  20. Install the jack handle to the vehicle.
  21. Clip the jack handle under the left front seat.
