Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement 2 Door
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat
belt guide loop (2)
cover and anchor bolt.
- Remove the 2 screws which secure the assist handle (1).
- Remove the assist handle (1) from the vehicle.
- Remove the 3 plastic retainers that secure the upper center pillar
trim panel.
- Remove the upper center pillar trim panel (3) from the
vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the upper center
pillar trim panel (3) to the vehicle. Secure the panel with the 3 plastic
retainers.
- Install the assist handle (1) to the vehicle. Secure the
handle with the 2 screws.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
seat belt guide loop (2) anchor bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt guide loop anchor bolt to 45 N·m
(33.2 lb ft).
- Install the front seat belt guide loop cover.
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement 4 Door
Removal Procedure
- Remove the lower center pillar trim panel. Refer to
Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the front seat belt guide loop cover.
- Remove the front seat belt guide loop anchor bolt.
- Loosen the front and rear side door weatherstrips away from the
upper center pillar trim panel.
- Remove the screw and the upper center pillar trim panel from the
vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the upper center pillar trim panel to the vehicle. Secure
the panel with the screw.
- Install the lower center pillar trim panel. Refer to
