Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1265731 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the shoe and the lining. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
  3. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Hub and Bearing Assembly Replacement .
  4. Remove the backing plate-to-spindle shaft nuts.
  5. Remove the spindle shaft.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1265731 Size: SH
  1. Install the spindle shaft.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the backing plate-to-spindle shaft nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 90 N·m (67 lb ft).

  3. Install the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Hub and Bearing Assembly Replacement .
  4. Install the shoe and the lining. Refer to Brake Shoe Replacement .
