Does the vehicle handle normally?

Inspect the tires for uneven wear or damage.

Are the tires worn or damaged?

Go to Step 7

Inspect the tires and wheels for missing wheel weights.

Are the wheel weights missing?

Go to Step 8

Inspect the tires and wheels for excessive runout. Refer to Tire Hop or Poor Handling in Vibration Diagnosis and Correction.

Does the tire and wheel have excessive runout?

Go to Step 7

Inspect the shock absorbers/struts for wear or damage.

Are the shock absorbers/struts worn or damaged?

Go to Step 9

Replace the tire/wheel if necessary. Refer to Tire Mounting and Dismounting in Tires and Wheels.

Balance the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire Hop or Poor Handling in Vibration Diagnosis and Correction.

Replace the shock absorbers/struts. Refer to Strut Assembly Replacement in Front Suspension or Strut Assembly Replacement in Rear Suspension.
