Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the sail panel trim. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  5. Object Number: 160832  Size: SH
  6. Remove the upper retractor anchor bolt.
  7. Remove the lower anchor bolt.
  8. Remove the outside belt assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 160832  Size: SH
  1. Install the outside belt assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the lower anchor bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the lower anchor bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the upper retractor anchor bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the lower anchor bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the sail panel trim. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the rear seatback. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the center lap belt assembly.
  11. Install the anchor bolts.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the anchor bolts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  13. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
