Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector  C1.
  3. Measure the resistance from the ground to the following connector  C1 terminals:
  4. • Terminal E7
    • Terminal  E12
    • Terminal F12

Are all of the resistance measurements less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step  4

Repair the open in CKT 351 (BLK/WHT) or CKT 150 (BLK).

Did you complete the repair?

--

Go to Instrument Cluster System Check

Measure the voltage from connector C1 terminal E14 and terminal F14 to ground.

Do both measurements equal the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step  6

Repair the open in CKT 40 (ORN).

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Measure the voltage from connector C1 terminal  E15 and terminal  F15 to ground.

Do both measurements equal the specified value?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 39 (PNK)

Inspect the instrument cluster connector C1 for proper terminal contact.

Is the terminal contact OK?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C1.
  3. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector C2.
  4. Measure the resistance from ground to the following terminals:
  5. • Connector C2 terminal B10
    • Connector C1 terminal C12
    • Connector C1 terminal D12

Are all of the resistance measurements less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Repair the open in CKT 851 (BLK/WHT) or CKT 150 (BLK).

Did you complete the repair?

Measure the voltage from connector C1 terminal D15 to ground.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 40 (ORN).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Measure the voltage from connector C2 terminal B1 to ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 439 (PNK)

Inspect the instrument cluster connector C1 and connector C2 for proper terminal contact.

Are the terminal contacts OK?

  1. Leave the ignition switch in RUN.
  2. Measure the voltage from connector C2, terminal A10 to ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified range?
