Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front door inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 164499 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the mirror electrical connector.

    3. Important: Support the mirror.

  3. Remove the nuts from the mirror.
  4. Remove the mirror from the door.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the mirror to the door.

    2. Object Number: 164499 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the nuts on the outside mirror studs.

    3. Start with the lower left nut and proceed in a clockwise direction.

    Tighten
    Tighten the outside mirror nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the mirror electrical connector.
  4. Install the front door inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
