Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the front door window to the full up position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

    4. Object Number: 164522 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the clips securing the rods to the handle.
  5. Remove the rods from the inside door handle.

    6. Object Number: 164505 Size: SH
  6. Remove the rivet mounting the inner door handle.

    7. Use a center punch to drive the door handle mounting rivet mandrel into the rivet head to create a pilot hole.

    Use a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit to drill out the rivet.

  7. Remove the inside door handle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 164505 Size: SH
  1. Install the front door inside door handle tabs in the front door.

    2. Object Number: 164522 Size: SH
  2. Connect the clips to the front door inside door handle and the lock rods to the handle.

    3. Object Number: 164505 Size: SH
  3. Install the rivet to the front door inside door handle.
  4. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
