Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Folding

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176166  Size: SH
  1. Fold down the seat back with the armrest.
  2. Open the J-retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.
  3. Remove the seat back armrest nuts.

  4. Object Number: 176168  Size: SH
  5. Remove the seat back armrest from the rear seat back.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176168  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back armrest to the rear seat back.
  2. Make sure the seat back cover in neatly tucked underneath the armrest.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat back armrest nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back armrest nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Close the J-retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.
  6. Fold up the seat back with the armrest.

Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Non-Folding

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fixed seat back with armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 176229  Size: SH
  3. Remove the seat back armrest nuts.

  4. Object Number: 176227  Size: SH
  5. Remove the seat back armrest from the seat back.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176227  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back armrest to the seat back.

  2. Object Number: 176229  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the seat back armrest nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back armrest nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the fixed seat back with armrest. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
