Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Floor Shift

1. Remove the upper tilt head components. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
2. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set only. Refer to Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift ) .



3. Remove the connector (2) from the electric park lock (3).
4. Remove 1 torx head screw (1) from the electric park lock (3).



5. Remove the electric park lock (2) from the lock module assembly (1).



6. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (2).

6.1.	Rotate the key alarm connector (1) 90 degrees.

6.2.	Pull the key alarm connector (1) out of the lock module assembly (2).




7. Remove 2 tapping screws (2) from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1).
8. Let the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (1) hang freely.




Important: The lock bolt assembly (4) is under slight spring tension from the lock bolt spring (3). Hold the lock bolt (4) in place while removing the lock module assembly (2).

9. Remove the 3 pan head tapping screws (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
10. Remove the lock module assembly (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
11. Remove the lock bolt assembly (4) from the steering column tilt head assembly (5).
12. Remove the lock bolt spring (3) from the lock bolt assembly (4).

Electronic Column Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

Tools Required
J 41396 Park Lock Cable Pliers

1. Remove the upper tilt head components. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .



2. Disconnect the park lock cable assembly (1).

The lock cylinder should be in the off-lock position.

3. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot on the lock module assembly and push against the locking tab to remove the park lock cable assembly (1).
4. Remove the steering column lock cylinder set only. Refer to Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift ) .



5. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (2).
6. Remove 2 tapping screws from the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3).
7. Remove the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3) from the lock module assembly (2).
8. Let the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (3) hang freely.



9. Remove 3 pan head tapping screws (2) from the lock module assembly (1).
10. Remove the lock module assembly (1).
