Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 315956 Size: SH
  1. Partially remove the upper portion of the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  2. Pull downwards on the door window weatherstrip to gain access to the screws.
  3. Remove the window weatherstrip retainer screws.
  4. Remove the forward mounting screw to the window weatherstrip retainer.
  5. Remove the window weatherstrip retainer from the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the window weatherstrip retainer.
  2. Push downwards on the door window weatherstrip to gain access to the screw holes.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the window weatherstrip retainer screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the window weatherstrip retainer screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the door garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
