Removal Procedure

  1. Position the door window in the down position.
  2. Remove the door window weatherstrip part way from the molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  3. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  4. Remove the window weatherstrip retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement

  5. Object Number: 315841  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear door frame molding screws.
  7. Remove the rear door frame molding from the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 315841  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear door frame molding to the door.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear door frame molding screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the door frame molding screws to 2N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the window weatherstrip retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement
  6. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  7. Install the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  8. Position the door window in the up position.
