Cruise Control Cable Replacement LN2
Removal Procedure
- Remove the accelerator
control cable splash shield. Pry out the retainers.
- Remove the cruise control cable tab from the throttle body injection
(TBI) cam. In order to release the tab, rotate the throttle body cam to ¼
open throttle.
- Push the locating fitting inward to release the cable. Pull the
cable from the bracket.
- Turn the cable assembly ¼ turn counterclockwise
in order to disconnect the cable assembly from the module.
- Disconnect the cable (4) from the ribbon.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the cable (4)
to the ribbon.
- Turn the cable assembly ¼ turn clockwise in order
to connect the cable assembly to the module.
- Install the cruise control cable tab to the TBI cam.
- Align the cruise control cable fitting to the TBI bracket. Snap
the cable fitting into place.
- Connect the accelerator control cable splash shield. Ensure that
the retainers lock into place.
- Adjust the cruise control cable. Refer to

Removal Procedure
- Remove the air intake
duct assembly.
- Remove the cruise control cable tab from the throttle body injection
(TBI) cam. In order to release the tab, rotate the throttle body cam to ¼ open
throttle.
- Push the locating fitting inward to release the cable. Pull the
cable from the bracket.
- Turn the cable assembly ¼ counterclockwise in order
to disconnect the cable assembly from the module.
- Disconnect the cable (4) from the ribbon.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the cable (4)
to the ribbon.
- Turn the cable assembly ¼ clockwise in order to
connect the cable assembly to the module.
- Install the cruise control cable tab to the TBI cam.
- Align the cruise control cable fitting to the TBI bracket. Snap
the cable fitting into place.
- Install the air intake duct assembly.
- Adjust the cruise control cable. Refer to
Cruise Control Cable Adjustment
