Removal Procedure
Important: The ignition switch must be in the OFF position when removing the instrument
panel cluster (IPC).
- Remove the cluster trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement
.
- Remove the screws from the IPC.
- In order to remove the IPC, perform the following procedures:
3.1. | Rotate the top of the cluster rearward. |
3.2. | Disengage the locating pins on the bottom of the cluster. |
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the cluster.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the electrical
connector to the cluster.
- In order to install the
IPC, perform the following procedures:
2.1. | Rotate the top of the cluster forward. |
2.2. | Engage the locating pins on the bottom of the cluster. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws to the IPC.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the IPC trim plate. Refer to
