Removal Procedure

A gray waterproof plastic deflector is used to seal the door inner panel and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured to the door inner panel with pressure-sensitive adhesive located on the outboard surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as needed, to service any door components. A second, smaller deflector is located around the door handle.

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
