Removal Procedure
A gray waterproof plastic deflector is used to seal the door inner panel
and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured to the
door inner panel with pressure-sensitive adhesive located on the outboard
surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as needed,
to service any door components. A second, smaller deflector is located around
the door handle.
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to

- Remove the water deflectors
by peeling the deflectors off the door inner panel and removing any waterproof
tape.
Installation Procedure
- Install the water deflector
around the door handle first.
- Install the gray water deflector to the door inner panel. Use
a roller around the periphery of the deflector to ensure the proper sealing.
- Install waterproof tape to any damaged areas of the deflector.
