- Close all the vehicle doors.
- Ensure the IP dimmer switch is in the OFF position.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Open and then close all the vehicle doors. Perform this step one
door at a time.
Did the courtesy lamps turn ON with the door open and then OFF with
all the doors closed?

- Ensure the IP dimmer switch is in the OFF position.
- Ensure all the doors are closed.
- Turn the ignition switch from the RUN position to the LOCK position.
- Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder while observing
the courtesy lamps.
Do the courtesy lamps turn ON?

- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Lower all the vehicle windows.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the key from the ignition key lock cylinder.
- Step out of the vehicle.
- Ensure all the passenger doors are closed except the drivers door.
- Press the lock on the drivers door lock switch. Listen for 3 chimes.
- Close the drivers door.
- Within 5 seconds, open the left rear door. Listen for 3 chimes.
- Close the left rear door.
- Wait for 5 seconds while observing the door locks.
- Unlock and open the right front door.
- Press the lock on the door lock switch. Listen for 3 chimes.
- Close the right front door.
- Wait 5 seconds, open the right rear door. Listen for 3 chimes.
- Close the right rear door.
- Wait 5 seconds while observing the door locks.
- Ensure there is no key in the ignition key lock cylinder.
- Press the lock on either door lock switch in order to ensure all
the doors lock 5 seconds after the last door is closed.

- If the connectors are good, replace the BCM. Refer to

in Body Control System.
