Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Connect a scan tool.
  3. Select the Body Control Module Low Washer Fluid Input menu.

Does the Low Washer Fluid Input Data match the Driver Information Center Warning message?

Replace the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Refer to one of the following procedures:

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the washer fluid level switch connector.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the washer fluid level switch connector terminal A to terminal B.
  4. Set the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the Low Washer Fluid indicator illuminate?

Inspect the washer fluid level switch connector for proper terminal contact at terminals A and B.

Is the contact good?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Set the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector (UB3) or connector C1 (U50 or U2F).
  3. Measure the resistance from the instrument cluster connector (UB3) terminal to A11 or connector C1 (U50 or U2F) terminal A16 to the ground.

Does the resistance match the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 9

Replace the washer fluid level switch.

Is the replacement complete?

Repair any poor contacts at the washer fluid level switch connector.

Is the repair complete?

Inspect the instrument cluster connector (UB3) for proper terminal contact at terminal A11 or connector C1 (U50 or U2F) for proper terminal contact at terminal A16

Are the connections OK?

Go to Step 11

Inspect CKT 99 (BLK/WHT) for an open or short to the battery.

Is the wiring OK?

Replace the instrument cluster.

Is the replacement complete?

Inspect CKT 1150 (BLK) for an open.

Is the wiring OK?
