Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement w/o AM6

Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
3. Remove the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
4. Remove the remaining seat cushion cover J channels from the seat bottom frame.
5. Remove the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
6. Remove the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .



7. Remove the seat cushion cover (1).
8. Remove the seat cushion pad (2).

1. Install the seat cushion pad (2) to the seat cushion frame (3).
2. Install the seat cushion cover (1) onto the seat cushion pad (2).
3. Install the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
4. Install the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
5. Install the seat cushion cover J channels to the seat cushion frame.
6. Install the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
7. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.

Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement w/ AM6

Caution: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause the following conditions:

•	Air bag deployment

•	Personal injury

•	Unnecessary SIR system repairs

In order to avoid the above conditions, observe the following guidelines:

•	Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine if you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring.

•	If you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Split Bench Seat Replacement .
3. Remove the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
4. Remove the remaining seat cushion cover J channels from the seat bottom frame.
5. Remove the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
6. Remove the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .



7. Remove the armrest. Refer to Front Seat Storage Armrest Replacement .



8. Remove the seat cushion cover (1,4).
9. Remove the seat cushion pad (2,3).

1. Install the seat cushion pad (2,3) to the seat cushion frame.
2. Install the seat cushion cover (1,4) onto the seat cushion pad (2,3).



3. Install the armrest. Refer to Front Seat Storage Armrest Replacement .
4. Install the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
5. Install the manual lumbar support knob, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Support Knob Replacement .
6. Install the seat cushion cover J channels to the seat cushion frame.
7. Install the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
8. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Split Bench Seat Replacement .
9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
