Removal Procedure
- Remove the upper door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to
Power Mirror Replacement
.
- Partially remove the window weatherstrip to access the upper auxiliary
molding screws.
- Remove the auxiliary weatherstrip
screws (1-7).
- Carefully peel the auxiliary weatherstrip away from the door header.
Installation Procedure
- Align the rear hole (1)
in the weatherstrip to the plastic nut in the door header.
- Seat the top of the seal lip over the flange.
- Starting at the rear, roll the weatherstrip over the flange on
the door header while holding the weatherstrip lip in order to prevent tucking
under against the door.
- Install the rear screw (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the remaining
screws.
Tighten
- Tighten the screw (1) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Tighten the screws (2-7) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to

- Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to
Power Mirror Replacement
.
- Install the upper door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
