J 44212 Camshaft Holding Tool

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.


    Object Number: 650538 Size: SH
  1. Remove the J 44212 tool from the right cylinder head camshafts.

    2. Object Number: 522725 Size: SH
  2. Ensure new camshaft cover seals are installed.
  3. Place the right camshaft cover in position on the cylinder head by aligning the bolt holes.
  4. Install the NEW camshaft cover bolt grommets prior to installing the camshaft cover bolts.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the camshaft cover bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    6. Object Number: 1207139 Size: SH
  6. Install the right ignition coil ground strap to the right cylinder head and right camshaft cover.
  7. Install the right cylinder head ignition coil ground strap bolt. Tighten the right cylinder head ignition coil ground strap bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  8. Install the right camshaft cover ignition coil ground strap bolt. Tighten the right camshaft cover ignition coil ground strap bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
