Important:: Ensure the cellular telephone handset is properly connected and docked.

  1. Turn ON the audio system.
  2. Select am/fm radio, tape, or CD.
  3. Attempt to communicate using the cellular telephone in the hands free mode.

Is the transmission received noisy?

Test the coaxial cable in both the center conductor and the shield for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the auxiliary common input circuit from the radio to the cellular telephone handset jumper for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
