Removal Procedure
- Remove the window panel (3). Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
- Pull away from the channel at the rim edge of the window, in order to remove the weatherstrip (1).
- Discard the old sunroof window weatherstrip.
Installation Procedure
- Clean the old adhesive from the channel at the rim edge of the window.
- Apply a 152 mm (6 in) strip of adhesive to the side of the window channel (3).
- Start with the end of the weatherstrip (1) covering 77 mm (3.03 in) of the previously applied adhesive.
- Cut free the end of the weatherstrip (1) at the side, in order to allow a 3-5 mm (1/8-3/16 in) overlap.
- Place a small amount of the adhesive on the free end of the weatherstrip (1).
- Butt together the ends of the weatherstrip (1), pushing the free end into the channel.
- Force the remainder of the weatherstrip (1) into the channel.
- Allow time for the adhesive to dry as recommended on the adhesive label.
- Install the sunroof window panel. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
Working around the window (3), push the weatherstrip (1) into the channel.
