Removal Procedure
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Raise the window far enough in order to gain access through the door inner panel to the window to regulator bolts(2).
- Remove the window to regulator bolts.
- Raise the window to the full up position.
- Tape the window in the full up position.
- Remove the regulator mounting bolts (1,2,3,4).
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the regulator from the door.
Important: The door window regulator motor and door regulator are serviced as a unit.
Installation Procedure
- Position the regulator to the door.
- Install the electrical connector.
- Install the regulator mounting bolts.
- Remove the tape.
- Lower the window far enough in order to gain access through the door inner panel for the bolts.
- Install the window to regulator bolts (2).
- Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Important: In order to ensure proper orientation of the window regulator to the door, tighten the window regulator bolts in the specified sequence (1,2,3,4).
Tighten
Tighten the window regulator bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
