Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket , or to Split Bench Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front seat riser trim cover. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement
  3. Remove the seat belt bucket nut.
  4. Remove the seat belt.
  5. Lift up on the cushion cover and pad to access the seat frame to seat adjuster bolts.
  6. Remove the seat frame bolts.
  7. Remove the seat adjuster from the seat frame.
  8. Remove the front seat adjuster motor assembly from the front seat adjuster, if equipped. Refer to Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front seat adjuster motor assembly to the front seat adjuster, if equipped. Refer to Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement.
  2. Position the seat adjuster to the seat frame.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the seat frame bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the seat frame bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Position the seat cushion pad and cover back on the seat frame.
  7. Install the seat cover J-retainers.
  8. Install the seat belt bucket nut.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt bucket nut to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  10. Install the front seat cushion frame to the front seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  11. Install the front seat riser trim cover. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement
  12. Install the front seat to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket , or to Split Bench Seat Replacement .
