  2. Turn the heated seat switch to low and high.

  1. Disconnect the seat heater control module.
  2. Test and repair the battery positive voltage supply circuit to the seat heater crontrol module for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test and repair the heated seat system ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the seat heater control module.
  2. Turn the seat heater switch to the high and low positions.
  3. Test for voltage at the seat heater switch high/low signal circuit terminal in the control module connector.

Is voltage present in both switch positions?

Test for voltage at the seat heater switch on/off signal circuit terminal in the control module connector.

  1. Disconnect the seat heater switch connector.
  2. Test and repair the seat heater switch high/low signal circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the seat heater switch connector.
  2. Test and repair the seat heater switch on/off signal circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test and repair the voltage supply circuit to the seat heater switch for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the resistance to ground from the heated seat thermistor signal circuit terminal in the seat heater control module connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance greater than the specified value?

5K ohms

Test the resistance to ground from the heated seat element voltage supply circuit terminal in the seat heater control module connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

200 ohms

Test and repair the heated seat thermistor signal circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
