Engine Block Assemble LDK

Note: Apply sealant to all plugs prior to installation. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.

1. Install the drain plug with sealant in the water pump.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the coolant jacket plugs with sealant and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

2.1.	Install the rear oil passage plugs with sealant and tighten to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

2.2.	Install the other oil passage plugs (2, 3, 4) with sealant and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).




3. Lubricate the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor O-ring with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
4. Install the CKP sensor (1) and bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
5. Install the oil pressure switch (2) and tighten to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).



6. Install the knock sensors (1) and bolts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).



7. Install the piston oil nozzle assemblies (1) and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

Engine Block Assemble LTD

Note: Apply sealant to all plugs prior to installation. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.

1. Install the drain plug, with sealant, in the water pump.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the coolant jacket plugs, with sealant, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
3. Install the rear oil passage plugs, with sealant, and tighten to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
4. Install the other oil passage plugs, with sealant, and tighten to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).



5. Lubricate the crankshaft position sensor O-ring with engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
6. Install the crankshaft position sensor (1) and bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
7. Install the oil pressure switch (2) and tighten to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).



8. Install the knock sensor (1) and bolt and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).



9. Install the piston oil nozzle assemblies (1), if equipped.
10. Install the piston oil nozzle assembly bolts and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
