Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2009 🢒 Regal 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.0L 🢒 Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the engine sight shield.
    3. • Vehicles equipped with LTD/U20XE. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement.
    • Vehicles equipped with LE5/U24XE. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement.
  3. Release the engine coolant air bleed hose.
  4. Remove the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement.
  5. Disconnect the electrical harness from the fuel rail harness connection.
  6. Remove the 2 fuel rail fasteners.
  7. Remove the fuel rail with injectors and the fuel injector insulator from the cylinder head.
  8. Disconnect all 4 fuel injector electrical connections.
  9. Remove the injectors from the fuel rail.

    10. Object Number: 2156641 Size: SH
  10. Remove the retainer (1) from the injector (2) and fuel rail (3).
  11. Pull the injector out of the fuel rail.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the injectors into the fuel rail and lock the injectors with the retainer.

    2. Note: Use new seal rings.

  2. Connect all 4 fuel injector electrical connections.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the fuel rail with injectors and fuel injector insulator into the cylinder head.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  4. Connect the electrical harness from the fuel rail harness connection.
  5. Install the fuel feed pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement.
  6. Install the engine coolant air bleed hose.
  7. Install the engine sight shield.
    8. • Vehicles equipped with LTD/U20XE. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement.
    • Vehicles equipped with LE5/U24XE. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
