Removal Procedure
Important: These procedures are applicable to both of the antenna cables in this vehicle.
- Remove the sunshade. Refer to
Sunshade Replacement

- Remove the sunshade anchor. Refer to
Sunshade Anchor Replacement

- Remove the trim panel from the right cowl side. Refer to
Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the garnish molding from the windshield. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
.
- Remove the bolt that secures the antenna cable extension to the roof. This bolt is located under the right front corner of the headliner.
- Remove the following components from the vehicle:

Installation Procedure
- Install the following components to the vehicle:
• | The antenna cable extension |
• | Install the antenna cable to the instrument panel carrier. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolt which secures the antenna cable extension to the roof.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 3.2 N·m (28 lb in).
- Install the trim panel at the right cowl side. Refer to

- Install the garnish molding to the windshield. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
.
- Install the sunshade anchor. Refer to
Sunshade Anchor Replacement
.
- Install the sunshade. Refer to
Sunshade Replacement
.
- Install the radio. Refer to
Radio Replacement
