Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Using a 4 mm (3/16 in) drill bit, remove the rivets.

    5. Object Number: 398650 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the lock rod (1) from the actuator.
  6. Remove the actuator (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 398650 Size: SH
  1. Install the actuator.
  2. Install the lock rod (1) outboard of the handle rod to the actuator (2).
  3. Install 4 mm (3/16 in), peel-type rivets.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
