Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement Buick

Tools Required

J 25034-C Pulley Remover

1. Remove the pump drive belts.
2. Remove the pump from the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
3. Using the J 25034-C , remove the pulley from the pump.

Tools Required

J 25033-C Pulley Installer

1. Using the J 25033-C , install the pulley onto the pump.



2. Set the axial tolerance of the pulley on the pump shaft at -0.25 mm to 0.25 mm (-0.010 in to 0.010 in).
3. Install the pump to the engine.
4. Install the pump drive belt.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
6. Inspect the system for leaks.

3. Using the J 25034-C , remove the pulley from the pump.

J 25033-C Pulley Installer

1. Using the J 25033-C , install the pulley onto the pump.



2. Set the axial tolerance of the pulley on the pump shaft at -0.25 mm to 0.25 mm (-0.010 in to 0.010 in).
3. Install the pump to the engine.
4. Install the pump drive belt.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
6. Inspect the system for leaks.
