Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.

Procedure

1. Adjust the hood hinge if needed. Refer to Hood Adjustment.
2. If deployed, replace the following parts:

•	Left and right actuator. Refer to Active Hood Hinge Actuator Active Hood Hinge Actuator Replacement

•	Left and right hinge - hood side

•	Left and right hinge - body side

•

Hood

•	Inspection hood latch and subsequent replacement if functionality or appearance is compromised
