Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the center I/P air vents. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Deflector Replacement in HVAC.
  2. Remove the HVAC programer/ashtray assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic.

  3. Object Number: 700905  Size: SH
  4. Remove the 4 10 mm screws securing the radio to the I/P retainer.
  5. Pull out the radio assembly.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the radio from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the radio assembly to the I/P retainer.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the HVAC programer/ashtray assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement in HVAC Systems - Automatic.
  6. Install the center I/P air vents. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Deflector Replacement in HVAC.
  7. Reprogram the radio. Refer to Radio Setup in Body and Accessories-Entertainment.
