Removal Procedure
- Slide the sunscreen all the way rearward.
- Remove the glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Remove the bolt from the slide adjuster.
- The right and left slide must be in full rearward position in order to ensure alignment.
- Apply slight pressure to the slides to keep tightly in place.
- Tighten the bolts on both sides in order to lock the slides in place.
Installation Procedure
- Install the bolt to the slide adjuster.
- Install the glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Close the glass panel.
- Slide the sunscreen closed.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
TIghten the slide adjustment bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
