Was the Power Sun Roof System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Power Sunroof System Check .

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Program the sun roof actuator. Refer to Power Sunroof Operation .
3. Check the pinch guard operation by turning the sun roof switch knob to position E.
4. As the sun roof is closing, obstruct it with something so that the sun roof does not fully close.
5. Once the sun roof actuator detects the obstruction, it should stop closing and open to a predetermined position.

Does the sun roof pinch guard operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Replace the sun roof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Actuator Replacement in Roof.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 4

1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
2. Verify that the sun roof pinch guard operates properly.
