Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  7. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  8. Remove the window channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Front Channel and Rear Channel Replacement .
  9. Remove the latch. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement .
  10. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  11. Remove the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  12. Remove the reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  13. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  14. Remove the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  15. Remove the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  16. Remove the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  17. Remove the check link from the door. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  18. Remove the closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side or Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  19. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
  20. Remove the door wire harness and conduit from the front body hinge pillar.

  21. Remove the intermediate hinge fasteners (1) from both hinges.
  22. With the aid of an assistant, lift the door in order to remove the door from the vehicle.
  23. Remove the door hinges. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .

    24. Object Number: 470124 Size: SH
  24. Remove the wiring harness clips (2) from the inner door panel.
  25. Remove the rubber conduit and the wiring harness (1) from the door.
  26. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers from the door shell.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install all the retainers into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.

    2. Object Number: 470124 Size: SH
  2. Install the door wiring harness clips (2) to the inner door panel.
  3. Route the wiring harness and the conduit into the door.
  4. Install the door hinges. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .
  5. Align the door hinge halves.
  6. Lower the door so the hinge halves mate together.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Use Loctite® Blue GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent prior to the installing the fasteners.

  7. Install the intermediate door hinge fasteners (1).

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the check link. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  9. Insert the door wire harness and conduit through the windshield pillar.
  10. Pull outward slightly to fully seat the grommet.
  11. Connect the door wire harness to the body wire harness.
  12. Install the closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side or Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  13. Install the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  14. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  15. Install the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  16. Install the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  17. Install the reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  18. Install the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  19. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  20. Install the latch. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement .
  21. Install the window channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Front Channel and Rear Channel Replacement .
  22. Install the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  23. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  24. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  25. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  26. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  27. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  28. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  29. Check the door for proper adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment .
