Removal Procedure
  1. Place the window in the full up position.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 524059 Size: SH
  6. Remove the E-clip on the lock cylinder to remove the lock rod and arm.
  7. Open the clamp at the door handle in order to release the lock cylinder from the retaining clip.
  8. Remove the lock cylinder from the backside of the door handle.

Installation Procedure
  1. If a new lock cylinder is to be installed, refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding in General Information, for the proper coding procedure.

    2. Object Number: 524059 Size: SH
  2. Snap the lock cylinder into the outside door handle from the backside.
  3. Install the lock cylinder rod and arm to the lock cylinder with the E-clip.
  4. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  7. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
