Diagnostic Aids

An intermittent or poor connection can cause the express open feature of the sunroof not to operate. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Test Description

The steps below refer to the test steps in the diagnostic table.

  1. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper to the sunroof switch open signal circuit and express signal circuit of the sunroof slide switch, then connect to ground circuit of the sunroof slide switch for less than 1 second. If this procedure is not performed correctly, the express open command will not function.

  2. Testing for a short to B+, other than the supplied reference voltage, in the sunroof switch express signal circuit. If voltage is present this would cause the express open feature to become inoperative.
