Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 524080  Size: SH
  6. Remove the upper and lower fasteners (3) from the rear window channel (4).
  7. Rotate the rear window channel (4) forward.
  8. Remove the rear window channel (4) through the rear access hole of the inner door panel.
  9. Remove the mirror in order to access the retaining bolt (1) for the front window channel. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  10. Pull out the window weatherstrip from the window channel pinchweld.
  11. Remove the lower fastener (3) from the front window channel (5).
  12. Remove the upper fastener (1) from the push nut (2).
  13. Remove the front window channel (5) through the front access hole of the inner door panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear window channel (4) through the rear access hole of the inner door panel.
  2. Insert the studs through the inner door panel slots.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the upper and lower fasteners (3).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear window channel fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the front window channel (5) through the front access hole of the inner door panel.
  7. Position the front window channel (5) upper slot with the fastener (2) on the outer panel of the mirror patch.
  8. Insert the lower stud through the inner door panel slot.
  9. Install the upper fastener (1) to the front window channel (5).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 1.3 N·m (12 lb in).

  11. Install the lower fastener (3) to the front window channel (5).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  13. Install the window weatherstrip to the window channel pinchweld.
  14. Install the mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  15. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  16. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  17. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  18. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
