Removal Procedure

Important: The cable position sensors are an integral part of the cable.

If a cable position sensor is inoperative, the entire cable must be replaced.


    Object Number: 696763  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat cushion frame assembly. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  3. Remove the drive motor bracket fastener (5) from the bracket (4) in order to allow the inoperative cable (1,2,3) to be removed without damaging the drive cable.

  5. Squeeze the collar of the cable in order to release the cable.

  6. Object Number: 334292  Size: SH
  7. Pull the cable out of the fitting until the cable end clears the fitting.
  8. Remove the inoperative cable or cable position sensor assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 334292  Size: SH
  1. Install the cable or cable/sensor assembly by pushing the ends into the fittings until the oblong clip snaps into place.
  2. Ensure the oblong connector is secure.

  3. Object Number: 696763  Size: SH
  4. Position the drive motor bracket assembly (4) to the stud on the adjuster track.
  5. Install the drive motor bracket fastener (5).
  6. Install the seat cushion frame assembly. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  7. Install the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
