Removal Procedure

Caution: If this procedure must be done with the regulator out of the vehicle, the counterbalance spring must be removed first. The regulator lift arms are under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause serious injury if the motor is removed without removing the spring.

Caution: Do not attempt to service the regulator motor without releasing the counterbalance spring tension. The regulator lift arm is under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause personal injury if the motor is removed from the regulator.

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 593317  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Remove the retaining nuts.
  6. Remove the motor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the motor.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the window motor nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector.
  6. Inspect the window operation.
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement
  8. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
