  1. Remove the taillamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  2. Remove the rear compartment rear trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

  3. Object Number: 372792  Size: SH
  4. Loosen the nuts that retain the upper fascia.
  5. Loosen the bolts (2) that retain the impact bar to the energy absorbers (1).
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Adjust the upper fascia (3) to the rear quarters.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts in sequence to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  9. Align the lower fascia/impact bar (1) as needed.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  12. Install the taillamp assemblies. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
