Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.

    2. Object Number: 367576 Size: SH
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid lock actuator. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Interior Release Latch Handle Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the fasteners retaining the latch switch to the latch (2).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Remove the rear compartment lid latch switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 367576 Size: SH
  1. Install the lock actuator (4) to the latch (2).

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the rear compartment latch switch.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Install the rear compartment lid lock actuator. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Interior Release Latch Handle Replacement in Body Rear End.
  5. Close the rear compartment lid.
