Important: Finish the following steps before going to the Symptom Table:

  1. Perform the system diagnosis with the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in order to verify that all of the following conditions are true.
  2. • No DTC is set.
    • The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.
  3. Review the system and operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Sunroof Description and Operation .

Visual/Physical Inspection

    • Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the power sunroof system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories .
    • Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .

Symptom List

Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:

    •  Power Sunroof Express Open/Close Features Inoperative
    •  Power Sunroof Inoperative
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Open
    •  Power Sunroof Express Vent Open/Close Features Inoperative
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Open to Vent Position
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Close
    •  Power Sunroof Does Not Close from Vent Position
    •  Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Timeout , if the power sunroof should operate longer than the RAP time-out.
