Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
  3. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt to the floor pan fastener.
  4. Remove the rear trim shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
  5. Remove the quarter window. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement.

  6. Object Number: 755545  Size: SH
  7. Remove the seat belt retractor fastener (2).
  8. Remove the seat belt retractor (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 755545  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear seat belt shoulder retractor (1). Engage the tab on the retractor (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat belt retractor fastener (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt buckle fasteners to 40 N·m (29 lb ft).

  5. Route the shoulder belt through the sail panel and verify that it is not twisted.
  6. Install the shoulder belt fastener.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the shoulder bolt fastener to 40 N·m (29 lb ft).

  8. Install the quarter window trim panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement.
  9. Install the rear trim shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
  10. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
  11. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
