Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the right seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement - Right Side .

    3. Object Number: 1273944 Size: SH
  3. Remove the pivot trim cover screws (1).
  4. Remove the outer pivot covers.

    5. Object Number: 1273942 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the seat release cables (2) from the seat adjuster.

    6. Object Number: 1273938 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the J-channel retainers (1).
  7. Remove the seat back retaining bolts (2).

    8. Object Number: 1273927 Size: SH
  8. Remove the seat back retaining bolt (1).
  9. Remove the seat back from the seat adjuster.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the seat back on to the seat adjuster.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1273938 Size: SH
  2. Install the seat back retaining bolts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat back retaining bolt (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  4. Connect the seat release cables (2) to the seat adjuster.

    5. Object Number: 1273938 Size: SH
  5. Connect the J-channel retainers (1).

    6. Object Number: 1273944 Size: SH
  6. Install the pivot cover screws (1).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement - Right Side .
  8. Install the seat into the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .
