DTC Descriptor

DTC B3607 4B: Pedals Softstops Not Programmed

Circuit/System Description

After replacement of adjustable pedal mechanical components or if the memory seat module is reprogrammed or replaced, the adjustable pedals softstop positions must be learned.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The memory seat module must be powered.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

This DTC will set if the pedals actuator softstops are not learned.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

Manual and memory adjustable pedals operation will be disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The current DTC will become a history DTC when the fault is no longer present and the ignition has been cycled.
    • The history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive fault-free ignition cycles have occurred.

Diagnostic Aids

The memory seat module (MSM) may be referenced as the driver position module.

Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Pedals Softstop Learn Status parameter. The parameter reading should be Learned.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, verify that no other adjustable pedal DTCs are set.
  2. If other adjustable pedal DTCs are set, diagnosis those DTCs first.
  3. Ignition ON, perform the scan tool Learn Pedals Softstops procedure. Refer to Adjustable Pedal System Calibration. The scan tool Pedals Softstop Learn Status parameter should be Learned.
  4. If not the specified value replace the memory seat module.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
