Air Inlet Assembly Replacement Left Hand Drive

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  2. Remove the closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.

    3. Object Number: 799133 Size: SH
  3. Remove the upper air inlet assembly bolts (1).

    4. Object Number: 799121 Size: SH
  4. Remove the lower right air inlet assembly bolt (1).
  5. Slide the assembly to the right and then lower.

    6. Object Number: 799130 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the air inlet assembly electrical connector (1).

    7. Object Number: 799128 Size: SH
  7. Rotate the air inlet assembly (1) and remove.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 799130 Size: SH
  1. Connect the air inlet assembly electrical connector (1).

    2. Object Number: 799128 Size: SH
  2. Install the air inlet assembly (1) to the locator pin.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 799133 Size: SH
  3. Install the upper air inlet assembly bolts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).


    Object Number: 799121 Size: SH
  4. Install the lower right air inlet assembly bolt (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  6. Install the closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.

Air Inlet Assembly Replacement Right Hand Drive

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  2. Remove the left insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.

    3. Object Number: 1857821 Size: SH
  3. Remove the upper air inlet assembly bolts (1) from the I/P carrier.

    4. Object Number: 1857822 Size: SH
  4. Remove the lower left air inlet assembly bolt  from I/P carrier (1).
  5. Slide the assembly to the left and then lower.

    6. Object Number: 1857823 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the air inlet assembly electrical connector (1).

    7. Object Number: 1857824 Size: SH
  7. Rotate the air inlet assembly (2) and remove.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1857824 Size: SH
  1. Install the air inlet assembly (2) to the locator pin.

    2. Object Number: 1857823 Size: SH
  2. Connect the air inlet assembly electrical connector (1).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 799133 Size: SH
  3. Install the upper air inlet assembly bolts  to I/P carrier (1) and tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 799121 Size: SH
  4. Install the lower right air inlet assembly bolt  to I/P carrier (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  5. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  6. Install the left insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
