Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1999093 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Remove the RF seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.
  3. Carefully lift the floor carpet at the seam.
  4. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  5. Remove the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1).

  6. Remove the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1999094 Size: SH
  1. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1999093 Size: SH
  2. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  4. Position the carpet to the floor.
  5. Install the RF seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.
  6. Install a scan tool.
  7. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
  8. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
