Did you perform the brake warning diagnostic system check?

  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch.
  2. Connect a DMM between the brake fluid level switch connector terminal A and terminal B in order to measure the voltage.
  3. Turn on the ignition.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

5 V

  1. Connect a DMM between the brake fluid level switch connector terminal A and ground.
  2. Turn on the ignition.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

5 V

  1. Instrument panel cluster connector C2 connected.
  2. Connect a DMM between the instrument panel cluster connector C2 terminal B4 and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

5 V

  1. Repair an open in CKT 333 (PPL). Refer to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. Test the CKT for an open to B+.

Replace the brake fluid level switch. Refer to Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Replacement .

Repair an open in CKT 151 (BLK/WHT). Refer to Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Test the CKT for an open to battery voltage.
